    (E)-Jasmone (CAS 68043-00-5) là một hợp chất mùi hoa nhài–thảo mộc có phổ ứng dụng rộng: làm nguyên liệu hương trong nước hoa cao cấp, mỹ phẩm, chất tẩy rửa và sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân để tạo nốt hoa nhài tự nhiên kèm sắc xanh và hơi gỗ, làm giàu cấu trúc trung–hậu hương (thường ở liều rất thấp, bổ trợ tốt với các jasmonate như Hedione, cùng linalool, ionone, musk); làm chất tạo hương trong thực phẩm–đồ uống (trà hoa nhài, hương trái cây, kẹo, bánh) nhằm tăng độ tươi và cảm giác tự nhiên; trong nông nghiệp và sinh thái hóa học, jasmone và các đồng phân của nó, bao gồm (E)-jasmone, được nghiên cứu như tín hiệu cảm ứng phòng vệ thực vật và chất bán hóa học để điều biến hành vi côn trùng hoặc hỗ trợ thu hút thiên địch, dù hiệu lực có thể khác (Z)-jasmone và phụ thuộc loài–môi trường; dùng làm chất chuẩn phân tích/chuẩn cảm quan trong GC–MS và các panel đánh giá để theo dõi tính xác thực tinh dầu hoa nhài, trà, hoa bia; làm trung gian tổng hợp các dẫn xuất jasmonate và chất điều sắc thái trong công thức; đồng thời, cần tuân thủ quy chuẩn an toàn–sử dụng (ví dụ hướng dẫn IFRA, giới hạn dùng thực phẩm theo từng thị trường), lưu ý khả năng gây nhạy da, khuynh hướng oxy hóa/đồng phân hóa dưới ánh sáng–nhiệt, và bảo quản kín, mát, tránh ánh sáng.
