    Camphenilone (CAS 13211-15-9) là một xeton monoterpen bicyclic có mùi long não–thanh mát–gỗ thông, được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong ngành hương liệu để bổ sung nốt camphoraceous/pine, tăng độ khuếch tán và độ bền mùi cho nước hoa tinh tế, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa, sản phẩm vệ sinh cá nhân và chất làm thơm không khí; đồng thời đóng vai trò nguyên liệu trung gian trong hóa hương liệu để tổng hợp các dẫn xuất terpen liên quan (rượu, este, lacton và xeton), chất điều biến hương vị tạo sắc thái mát–nhựa thông ở mức vết trong thực phẩm/đồ uống khi được phép, cũng như một “khối xây dựng” hữu ích cho tổng hợp hữu cơ và nghiên cứu dược–nông dược nhờ khung bicyclic cứng và kỵ nước; ngoài ra còn được dùng làm chất chuẩn/chuẩn đối chiếu trong phân tích và kiểm soát chất lượng; khi triển khai cần tuân thủ yêu cầu an toàn–pháp lý (ví dụ IFRA, REACH và các quy định hương–vị sở tại), kiểm soát tạp chất và liều dùng (thường ở mức ppm đến rất thấp), cùng các biện pháp xử lý bảo quản tiêu chuẩn đối với keton dễ bay hơi.
