    (-)-Alloaromadendrene (CAS 25246-27-9) là một sesquiterpen hydrocarbon hiện diện trong tinh dầu Eucalyptus, Melaleuca và nhiều loài thực vật thơm; trong công nghiệp hương liệu, nó được dùng như một nốt mùi gỗ–nhựa thơm để làm dày và kéo dài hương (fixative) trong nước hoa, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa và sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân, hỗ trợ tái tạo các tông mùi tràm, bạch đàn, gỗ trầm–tùng bách và hòa hợp tốt với vetiver, hoắc hương, tuyết tùng; ở mức vi lượng, có thể ứng dụng trong công thức hương thực phẩm để thêm sắc thái gỗ–thảo mộc nếu phù hợp quy định; trong phân tích và nghiên cứu, hợp chất này thường được dùng làm chất chuẩn GC/MS, chỉ thị hóa học cho giám định nguồn gốc/pha trộn tinh dầu, cũng như là khung sesquiterpen đối quang cho nghiên cứu lập thể, biến đổi hóa học và khảo sát cảm quan; một số nghiên cứu in vitro ghi nhận hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật, chống viêm và xua đuổi côn trùng (thường trong hỗn hợp tinh dầu), gợi ý vai trò là thành phần mục tiêu trong công thức khử mùi phòng và kiểm soát dịch hại có nguồn gốc sinh học; về thực hành, vật liệu dễ bay hơi và dễ oxy hóa này nên được bảo quản kín, tránh ánh sáng, có bổ sung chất chống oxy hóa và tuân thủ hướng dẫn IFRA cùng quy định an toàn địa phương.
