  • Ứng dụng

    4-Isopropylbenzyl alcohol (cuminalcohol, CAS 536-60-7) được ứng dụng chủ yếu như chất trung gian tổng hợp: este hóa tạo các este thơm hoặc carbonat làm phụ gia và chất cố định mùi, ete hóa hoặc halogen hóa để thu 4-isopropylbenzyl chloride dùng điều chế muối amoni bậc bốn, chất hoạt động bề mặt và chất xúc tiến chuyển pha; tham gia các chuỗi oxi hóa/khử chọn lọc chuyển hóa qua lại với cuminaldehyde và các dẫn xuất benzyl khác để làm khối xây dựng trong dược phẩm, thuốc nhuộm và hóa chất nông nghiệp; đồng thời là thành phần điều hương trong nước hoa, xà phòng và sản phẩm chăm sóc gia dụng nhờ nốt hương ấm, hơi cay kiểu cumin, giúp cân chỉnh cấu trúc mùi và tăng độ bền hương; trong nghiên cứu, nó được dùng như cơ chất mô hình cho phản ứng oxi hóa rượu benzyl, chuyển hydro và xúc tác đồng thể/dị thể, cũng như làm đơn vị benzyl kỵ nước để gắn lên polymer hoặc vật liệu bề mặt.
