    1,6,10-Dodecatrien-3-ol, 3,7,11-trimethyl-, [S-(Z)]- (một đồng phân lập thể của nerolidol; CAS 3790-78-1) được ứng dụng chủ yếu như chất tạo hương/điều biến hương tông hoa cỏ–gỗ–trái cây trong nước hoa, mỹ phẩm, dầu gội, xà phòng và chất tẩy rửa; chất tạo mùi cho sản phẩm khử mùi, làm thơm không khí và nến; chất trợ thấm qua da trong công thức thuốc bôi và kem dưỡng; dung môi thân dầu/chất mang hương; trung gian tổng hợp trong hóa học terpene và nguyên liệu tạo dẫn xuất mùi; phụ gia/trợ lực trong công thức nông nghiệp để tăng thấm qua biểu bì lá và vỏ côn trùng, đồng thời được nghiên cứu cho vai trò xua đuổi/thu hút chọn lọc côn trùng cùng tiềm năng kháng khuẩn, kháng nấm, chống ký sinh trùng, nhờ đó cũng hiện diện trong chế phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân và sản phẩm gia dụng hướng “tự nhiên”, nơi việc chọn đồng phân [S-(Z)] giúp tinh chỉnh sắc độ mùi và phù hợp yêu cầu lập thể trong ứng dụng sinh học.
