    1,4-Cineole (CAS 470-67-7) là một monoterpen oxy hóa có hương thơm the mát, được ứng dụng rộng rãi làm thành phần tạo mùi trong nước hoa, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa, chất khử mùi không khí; làm chất điều vị trong thực phẩm, đồ uống, kẹo cao su; làm dung môi sinh học trong chiết tách tinh dầu; làm hoạt chất dược liệu trong chế phẩm long đờm, sát trùng đường hô hấp, giảm đau cơ xoa bóp; đồng thời được nghiên cứu như chất bảo vệ thực vật tự nhiên và dung môi xanh trong tổng hợp hữu cơ.
