    Chlorothalonil (CAS number: 1897-45-6) is a broad-spectrum fungicide used in agriculture to protect crops from fungal diseases. It is applied as foliar sprays on vegetables, fruits, and cereals to suppress pathogens such as leaf spots, blights, and mildews. It is also used in greenhouse and nursery production to protect ornamentals and container plants. In turf management, including lawns and golf courses, chlorothalonil is employed to control turf fungal pathogens.
