    Tagetone, (Z)- (CAS 3588-18-9) là một enon monoterpen tự nhiên nổi bật trong tinh dầu cúc vạn thọ (Tagetes), được ứng dụng chủ yếu như thành phần hương–liệu mang sắc thái xanh tươi, trái cây, thảo mộc và nốt marigold đặc trưng trong nước hoa, nến, sản phẩm chăm sóc nhà cửa/vải vóc và một số công thức tạo hương thực phẩm ở mức hàm lượng rất thấp; ngoài ra còn được dùng làm chất chuẩn tham chiếu cho GC/GC‑MS trong kiểm nghiệm/xác thực tinh dầu Tagetes và kiểm soát chất lượng nguyên liệu, làm nguyên liệu khởi đầu/khối xây dựng cho tổng hợp dẫn xuất terpen (khử, cộng hợp Michael, epoxi hóa…) trong hóa hữu cơ, và là đối tượng nghiên cứu về hoạt tính sinh học (kháng vi sinh, xua đuổi/diệt côn trùng, ức chế tuyến trùng) cũng như tiềm năng chế phẩm bảo vệ thực vật có nguồn gốc thực vật; khi ứng dụng cần lưu ý enon không bão hòa nhạy oxy/ánh sáng, bảo quản dưới khí trơ, tránh ánh sáng/oxy, và tuân thủ hướng dẫn an toàn–giới hạn sử dụng theo IFRA/quy định địa phương.
