  • Ứng dụng

    Ethyl isovalerate, còn gọi là ethyl 3-methylbutanoate (CAS 108-64-5), mang mùi thơm táo-dứa đặc trưng nên được ứng dụng rộng rãi làm hương liệu thực phẩm (FEMA 2468) trong nước giải khát, rượu vang, bia, rượu mùi, kem, kẹo, bánh nướng, sữa chua, thạch, kẹo cao su, dược phẩm nhai và siro; trong mỹ phẩm và chăm sóc cá nhân nó làm chất tạo hương, che mùi dung môi cho nước hoa, xịt khử mùi, dầu gội, sữa tắm, kem dưỡng; trong công nghiệp thuốc lá và tinh dầu thuốc lá điện tử nó bổ sung nốt ngọt trái cây; ngoài ra ester dễ bay hơi này còn được dùng làm dung môi pha loãng tinh dầu, chất mang cho quá trình lên men hương, chất chuẩn phân tích, trung gian tổng hợp hương liệu phức tạp, thành phần mồi câu, phụ gia thú y và chất tạo mùi cho thuốc bảo vệ thực vật ít độc; chất được công nhận GRAS, liều khuyên dùng 1–100 ppm tùy ứng dụng, ổn định nhưng cần bảo quản kín, tránh ánh sáng và nhiệt.
