  • Ứng dụng

    Ethyl butyrate (butyrat etyl, CAS 105-54-4) là este dễ bay hơi của axit butyric và ethanol, có mùi thơm đặc trưng của trái cây nhiệt đới nên được sử dụng rộng rãi làm chất tạo hương trong nước ép, kẹo, sữa chua uống, kem, rượu vang, đồ uống thể thao và cả hương dứa, táo, xoài, chanh, cam trong kẹo cao su; nhờ khả năng hoà tan tốt với ethanol, dầu ăn và tinh dầu, nó còn là dung môi trung gian trong sản xuất sơn nitrocellulose, mực in, vecni gỗ, chất phủ ô tô, chất kết dính và mực phun; trong mỹ phẩm, ethyl butyrate góp phần tạo nốt hương đầu sáng, tươi trẻ cho nước hoa, kem dưỡng, son môi, dầu gội, cũng như che giấu mùi khó chịu của hoạt chất trong mỹ phẩm tự nhiên; ngành dược phẩm dùng nó như tá dược tạo mùi, cải thiện độ palatability của siro kháng sinh, thuốc ho, vitamin tổng hợp; trong nông nghiệp và thức ăn chăn nuôi, hợp chất này được bổ sung để kích thích cảm giác ngon miệng cho gia súc, gia cầm và thuỷ sản; nghiên cứu khoa học khai thác nó làm chuẩn phân tích GC, LC-MS, mô phỏng hương vị và phối liệu cảm quan, đồng thời ethyl butyrate còn xuất hiện trong tinh chỉnh nhiên liệu sinh học nhờ khả năng nâng cao chỉ số octan, giảm phát thải; cuối cùng, mùi thơm mạnh nhưng an toàn của nó khiến ethyl butyrate trở thành chất đánh dấu mùi trong bài kiểm tra khứu giác y học.
