    Delta-Terpineol (CAS 7299-42-5) là một rượu monoterpen có mùi thông/hoa dễ chịu, được ứng dụng rộng rãi làm chất tạo hương trong nước hoa, xà phòng, dầu gội, chất khử mùi, nến hương và chất tẩy rửa gia dụng; làm chất đồng dung môi, chất cải thiện độ ướt và kiểm soát độ nhớt trong mực in, sơn phủ, keo dán và chất bịt kín; làm dung môi mang cho paste in mạch dày và gốm in lưới trong điện tử nhờ điểm sôi cao và hồ tính ổn định; hỗ trợ làm sạch bề mặt nhờ khả năng hòa tan dầu mỡ, keo và mực cùng với việc để lại mùi thơm dễ chịu; là hương liệu thực phẩm sử dụng ở mức thấp để gợi ý nốt thông/cam chanh trong đồ uống và bánh kẹo; làm trung gian tổng hợp để tạo các este terpinyl (như terpinyl acetat) và dẫn xuất terpene khác cho ngành hương liệu, nhựa và chất hoạt động bề mặt; đôi khi được dùng như tác nhân sủi bọt trong tuyển nổi khoáng; đồng thời được quan tâm như một dung môi nguồn gốc sinh học, dễ phân hủy sinh học cho các công thức “xanh”, với hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật được ghi nhận góp phần vào hiệu quả khử mùi trong một số công thức.
