    n-Decyl acetate (CAS 112-17-4) là một este mạch thẳng mang hương trái cây dịu nhẹ, thường được khai thác làm thành phần tạo hương táo-lê trong tinh dầu nước hoa cao cấp, chất điều vị cho kẹo, đồ nướng và đồ uống, đồng thời đóng vai trò dung môi hòa tan nhẹ mùi cho mực in, sơn móng tay, vecni và mực flexo; trong công nghiệp dược phẩm – mỹ phẩm, hợp chất này giúp cải thiện khả năng khuyếch tán hương, giảm độ nhớt của kem dưỡng, tạo cảm giác khô thoáng trên da, ngoài ra còn được sử dụng như chất trung gian tổng hợp một số chất hoạt động bề mặt, chất hóa dẻo sinh học, phụ gia chống ăn mòn kim loại, chất tẩy rửa gốc este thân thiện môi trường cũng như tác nhân kiểm soát bọt và dung dịch đánh bóng gỗ, nhờ đặc tính bay hơi vừa phải, độ độc thấp và khả năng phân hủy sinh học tốt.
