  • Ứng dụng

    Cumene (isopropylbenzen, CAS 98-82-8) chủ yếu được dùng làm nguyên liệu oxy hóa thành cumene hydroperoxide trong quy trình cumene để sản xuất phenol và acetone, đồng thời tạo ra alpha-methylstyrene và làm nền cho các sản phẩm hạ nguồn như bisphenol A, nhựa phenolic và polycarbonate; ngoài ra, cumene còn được sử dụng ở quy mô nhỏ như dung môi sôi cao cho sơn, vecni, men, nhựa và keo, làm thành phần pha trộn nhiên liệu ở phạm vi hạn chế và trung gian trong tổng hợp các dẫn xuất alkylbenzen khác, với yêu cầu xử lý an toàn nghiêm ngặt do là hydrocarbon thơm dễ cháy có nguy cơ kích ứng và độc tính qua hô hấp.
