    Cedrol (CAS 77-53-2) là một sesquiterpen alcohol tự nhiên từ tinh dầu gỗ tuyết tùng, được ứng dụng rộng rãi như thành phần hương liệu tông gỗ ấm và chất định hương nhờ độ bay hơi thấp; xuất hiện trong nước hoa cao cấp, mỹ phẩm, xà phòng, dầu gội, chất tẩy rửa, nến và sản phẩm khử mùi không khí, đồng thời là tiền chất để sản xuất các este như cedryl acetate; trong chăm sóc cá nhân và liệu pháp hương thơm, cedrol mang lại nốt nền trấn tĩnh và hỗ trợ che mùi; trong nghiên cứu kiểm soát côn trùng, cedrol được khai thác như tín hiệu điều biến hành vi (ví dụ thu hút muỗi Anopheles vào bẫy/điểm đẻ) phục vụ giám sát quần thể, và còn được khảo sát về hoạt tính kháng khuẩn, chống oxy hóa/kháng viêm in vitro; ngoài ra, nó là khối xây dựng hữu ích trong hóa tổng hợp terpene và tối ưu hóa độ bền mùi trong công thức hương.
