    Alpha-Caryophyllene alcohol (CAS 4586-22-5) là một sesquiterpenol thơm được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong hương liệu với sắc thái gỗ–gia vị–thảo mộc, giúp tăng chiều sâu và độ bền mùi cho nước hoa cao cấp, sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân, xà phòng, nến thơm và chất tẩy rửa gia dụng; trong thực phẩm được dùng ở mức vết làm chất điều vị cho đồ uống, bánh kẹo và ứng dụng mặn với nốt tiêu, đinh hương, hoa bia; trong tổng hợp hữu cơ làm nguyên liệu trung gian tạo epoxid, este và các dẫn xuất sesquiterpen phục vụ mỹ phẩm, hương liệu và hóa chất đặc dụng; trong phân tích làm chất chuẩn/đối chiếu để định tính–định lượng terpene trong tinh dầu và hồ sơ mùi thực vật; và trong nghiên cứu được khảo sát về hoạt tính kháng vi sinh, tác động đến côn trùng và vai trò bán hóa chất nông nghiệp (mồi/xua đuổi), cũng như trong hệ mang hương giải phóng có kiểm soát, lưu ý đây là các ứng dụng nghiên cứu chứ không phải khuyến cáo y tế hay nông dược.
