    (4E,7E)-1,5,9,9-Tetramethyl-12-oxabicyclo[9.1.0]dodeca-4,7-diene (CAS 19888-33-6) là một bicyclic ether thuộc họ terpenoid, thường được khảo sát như chất tham chiếu và nguyên liệu trung gian trong nghiên cứu hương liệu để đánh giá vai trò của khung bicyclic kỵ nước và các liên kết đôi E,E đối với đặc tính mùi, độ bền oxy hóa và hành vi bay hơi; trong tổng hợp hữu cơ, hợp chất này được khai thác như khung cứng giàu carbon cho các biến đổi chức chọn lọc (ví dụ epoxy hóa/hydroxyl hóa, phản ứng cộng, hydrogen hóa có điều khiển) nhằm tạo dẫn xuất terpenoid oxy hóa hoặc chất trung gian dược – nông hóa, đồng thời phục vụ các nghiên cứu cơ chế, động học và điều khiển lập thể; ngoài ra còn được dùng làm chuẩn phân tích trong GC/GC–MS để hiệu chuẩn chỉ số lưu giữ và đáp ứng detector đối với bicyclic ether, làm mẫu thử độ tương hợp vật liệu và độ bền mùi trong ma trận tiêu dùng, cũng như mô hình phân tử để nghiên cứu tính thấm, ái lực dung môi và tương tác phân tử trong khoa học vật liệu – bề mặt, với mọi ứng dụng đều phụ thuộc vào đánh giá an toàn – độc tính và quy định hiện hành.
