Applications
Fenitrothion (CAS 122-14-5) is an organophosphate insecticide widely used in agriculture to protect crops from a broad range of pests on cereals, fruits, and vegetables, typically applied as foliar sprays or emulsifiable concentrates (EC). It is also used in forestry to protect trees and timber from pests, and in stored-product protection to guard grain and feed facilities against infestation. In public health programs, fenitrothion is employed for vector control, notably mosquito management, through space spraying or ULV applications. Formulations commonly used include ECs and ULV products, and use is subject to local regulatory requirements.
