  • Applications

1,6-Hexanediol diacrylate (CAS 13048-33-4) is a difunctional acrylate monomer widely used as a reactive crosslinker in UV-curable formulations, forming crosslinked networks upon UV exposure and contributing to coating hardness and chemical resistance. Typical applications include UV-curable coatings for wood, metal, and plastics; UV-curable inks and overprint varnishes; UV-curable adhesives and sealants; UV-curable resins for 3D printing (DLP/SLA) and other photopolymer plastics; electronics encapsulation/potting compounds and protective coatings; and optical coatings and photopolymers for specialty applications. It is commonly evaluated as a crosslinking component in polyurethane acrylate systems to tailor cure speed and network properties.
