  • Ứng dụng

    Valencene (CAS 4630-07-3) là sesquiterpen thơm có nguồn gốc chủ yếu từ vỏ cam Valencia, được ứng dụng rộng rãi làm chất tạo hương trái cây tươi mát trong nước giải khát, kẹo cao su, bánh kẹo, gia vị lỏng và đồ uống có cồn; là thành phần quan trọng trong công thức nước hoa, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa và nến thơm nhờ mùi cam quýt ngọt sắc nét; được dùng như tiền chất sinh học để oxy hoá thành nootkatone – hoạt chất có khả năng xua đuổi côn trùng và khử mùi; ngoài ra còn góp mặt trong một số chế phẩm chăm sóc da, tinh dầu khuếch tán và sản phẩm y học cổ truyền nhờ đặc tính chống oxy hoá, kháng viêm và cải thiện tâm trạng.
