    trans-Ocimenone (CAS 55712-51-1) là một monoterpen keton không no có hương xanh - citrus - thảo mộc, được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong hương liệu và gia vị để tăng độ tươi, tự nhiên và độ khuếch tán cho nốt đầu ở các chủ đề cam chanh, trà, thảo mộc, lá cà chua và trái cây nhiệt đới; dùng trong nước hoa mịn, chăm sóc cá nhân, sản phẩm gia dụng và làm hương thực phẩm liều vết cho đồ uống, kẹo, sữa - bánh; đồng thời làm chất chuẩn/marker mùi trong GC/GC-MS cho kiểm soát chất lượng tinh dầu và nghiên cứu hương rượu vang, trà, trái cây, cũng như làm khối xây dựng tổng hợp (enone nhận Michael) để tạo dẫn xuất monoterpen như epoxit, oxim hoặc sản phẩm hydro hóa.
