  • Ứng dụng

    Axit phenylacetic (CAS 103-82-2) là một nguyên liệu hóa học quan trọng được dùng rộng rãi trong tổng hợp dược phẩm – đặc biệt là tiền chất sản xuất benzylpenicillin (penicillin G) và nhiều kháng sinh bán tổng hợp khác – cũng như trong điều chế thuốc chống viêm, thuốc chống co giật, thuốc hạ huyết áp; ngoài ra nó còn là thành phần trung gian để tạo ra rượu phenethyl trong ngành hương liệu nhờ mùi mật ong ngọt dịu đặc trưng, được sử dụng trong nước hoa, xà phòng, mỹ phẩm và tạo hương cho thực phẩm; trong nông nghiệp, hợp chất này được dùng sản xuất chất điều hòa sinh trưởng, thuốc trừ côn trùng hữu cơ và một số thuốc thú y; trong công nghiệp, axit phenylacetic tham gia tổng hợp nhựa alkyd, nhựa polyester, chất dẻo hoá, chất tẩy rửa, thuốc nhuộm, chất ổn định UV và phụ gia dầu nhờn, đồng thời là tiền chất của phenylacetone và một số hợp chất hương vị, dung môi, hoặc thuốc thử nghiên cứu trong phòng thí nghiệm.
