    Octafluoropentyl methacrylate (CAS 355-93-1) là monomer methacrylate fluorinated được dùng để tổng hợp các polymer acrylic fluorinated có khả năng kháng hoá chất và năng lượng bề mặt rất thấp. Các ứng dụng thực tế gồm: phủ bảo vệ và lớp coating cho kim loại và vật liệu nhựa với khả năng chịu dung môi và thời tiết; lớp phủ và mực in có tính chống dầu và dễ làm sạch; keo dán và sealant hiệu suất cao với kháng hoá chất; các copolymer hoặc polymer pha trộn nhằm cải thiện độ bền thời tiết và khả năng bám lên nền fluorinated; và lớp phủ cho các ứng dụng điện tử hoặc quang học đòi hỏi ổn định bề mặt và kháng hoá chất.
