    Methyl decanoate (CAS 110-42-9) là este axit béo mạch dài được sử dụng rộng rãi như mô hình nhiên liệu sinh học trong các thử nghiệm đốt cháy động cơ diesel, làm chất tạo hương dừa-sữa trong thực phẩm, thành phần hương nước hoa và mỹ phẩm, dung môi không phân cực cho chiết tách tinh dầu, chất mang cho các hương liệu tinh khiết trong GC-MS, chất bôi trơn nhẹ và chất làm dẻo nhựa, đồng thời đóng vai trò bán thành phẩm trong tổng hợp surfactant, chất hoạt tính sinh học và dầu bôi trơn hiệu suất cao.
