  • Ứng dụng

    Methanethiol (methyl mercaptan, CAS 74-93-1) là một nguyên liệu trung gian quan trọng để sản xuất DL‑methionine cho thức ăn chăn nuôi; làm khối xây dựng nhóm methylthio trong tổng hợp dược phẩm và thuốc bảo vệ thực vật; là tiền chất của dimethyl sulfide và dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) dùng để sulf hóa/khởi hoạt xúc tác trong lọc dầu; đôi khi được dùng làm chất tạo mùi cảnh báo rò rỉ cho khí đốt tự nhiên và LPG; đồng thời xuất hiện trong nghiên cứu bề mặt (tạo lớp đơn tự sắp xếp trên vàng), làm tác nhân chuyển chuỗi trong trùng hợp gốc tự do, và ở hàm lượng vết như thành phần tạo mùi trong một số hương thực phẩm tự nhiên.
