  • Ứng dụng

    Menthyl acetate (CAS 2230-87-7) là este của menthol và axit axetic, có mùi bạc hà ngọt, mát và hơi trái cây, được ứng dụng rộng rãi như chất tạo hương và điều biến cảm giác mát trong thực phẩm và đồ uống (kẹo cao su, kẹo, đồ uống giải khát, sản phẩm vị bạc hà), trong chăm sóc răng miệng (kem đánh răng, nước súc miệng, chỉ nha khoa) để mang lại cảm giác sạch và hơi thở thơm mát, trong nước hoa và mỹ phẩm cá nhân (xịt thơm, dầu gội, sữa tắm, kem dưỡng) nhằm bổ sung nốt bạc hà tươi, làm tròn và kéo dài độ mát dịu hơn menthol, trong dược phẩm không kê đơn làm tá dược che vị và tăng cảm nhận dễ chịu cho siro ho/viên ngậm, cũng như trong gel/balm bôi ngoài da cho cảm giác mát tức thì; ngoài ra còn xuất hiện trong chất làm thơm không khí, chất tẩy rửa gia dụng, nến thơm và các hệ vi nang để giải phóng hương kéo dài; hợp chất này phối hợp tốt với menthol/menthone để tăng chiều sâu hương bạc hà, giúp che đắng và mùi dược chất, có thể gắn nhãn “tự nhiên” khi thu từ dầu bạc hà, nhưng cần dùng ở nồng độ thấp phù hợp ma trận sản phẩm, bảo quản kín tránh nhiệt/ánh sáng do dễ bay hơi và có thể thủy phân trong môi trường axit/kiềm mạnh, và tuân thủ các hướng dẫn an toàn/tiêu chuẩn IFRA hoặc quy định hương liệu thực phẩm tại địa phương.
