  • Ứng dụng

    Isosafrole (CAS 120-58-1) là một chất trung gian hữu cơ mang vòng methylenedioxy được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong tổng hợp hương liệu, mùi và hóa chất đặc dụng: nó là nguyên liệu khởi đầu quan trọng để oxy hóa thành piperonal (heliotropin) và các dẫn xuất piperonyl, qua đó sản xuất piperonyl butoxide (PBO) làm chất hiệp lực cho thuốc bảo vệ thực vật, đồng thời tạo ra nhiều thành phần mùi có sắc thái hoa–vanil và các trung gian phục vụ nghiên cứu dược–nông hóa; trong phòng thí nghiệm, isosafrole còn được dùng làm chất chuẩn và cơ chất mô hình cho các phản ứng epoxid hóa, hydro hóa và cắt mạch oxy hóa nhằm khảo sát xúc tác và cơ chế của các hợp chất allyl–benzen; do nguy cơ bị lạm dụng làm tiền chất bất hợp pháp, hóa chất này được quản lý chặt ở nhiều quốc gia và việc sản xuất, lưu thông, sử dụng cần tuân thủ quy định pháp lý, an toàn và sức khỏe nghề nghiệp.

Hạn chế
On the basis of established maximum concentration levels of this substance in commercially available natural sources (like essential oils, extracts and absolutes), exposure to this substance from the use of these oils and extracts is regarded acceptable as long as the total concentration of Safrole, Isosafrole and Dihydrosafrole in the finished consumer product does not exceed 0.01%.
