  • Ứng dụng

    Isomethyleugenol (CAS 6379-72-2) là một phenylpropanoid thơm, được ứng dụng chủ yếu như thành phần hương liệu tạo sắc thái ấm, cay, đinh hương–hồi trong pha chế nước hoa, nến thơm và sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân, đôi khi dùng ở mức vết trong nghiên cứu tạo hương thực phẩm hoặc công thức tuân thủ quy định; ngoài ra còn được sử dụng làm chuẩn tham chiếu/chuẩn nội GC–MS và chất đánh dấu trong kiểm nghiệm, xác thực nguồn gốc tinh dầu thực vật, làm trung gian trong tổng hợp các dẫn xuất phenylpropanoid, và làm hợp chất mô hình trong nghiên cứu chuyển hóa–độc tính của nhóm methoxy‑allylbenzene; trong sinh thái hóa học, hợp chất này được khảo sát như bán hóa chất có thể ảnh hưởng hành vi côn trùng (dẫn dụ hoặc xua đuổi tùy loài), và các hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật/chống oxy hóa in vitro của nó được khai thác trong sàng lọc chất bảo quản, tuy nhiên việc ứng dụng thực tế thường chịu giới hạn nghiêm ngặt của IFRA và nhiều quy định an toàn hiện hành.
