    Geranyl caproate (CAS 10032-02-7) là một este của geraniol và axit caproic, nổi bật với hương hoa cỏ-trái cây mềm mại pha nét xanh mát, được ngành hương liệu – mỹ phẩm ưa chuộng để làm chất điều hương kéo dài độ lưu hương, làm tròn nốt hoa cho tinh dầu sả chanh, hoa hồng, nhài, ngọc lan tây, đồng thời gia tăng chiều sâu cho tông cam quýt, đào, táo trong nước hoa fine-fragrance; trong công nghệ thực phẩm, hợp chất này đóng vai trò chất tạo hương (FEMA 2521) giúp tái hiện mùi trái cây chín tự nhiên cho kẹo cứng, chewing-gum, đồ uống không cồn, sữa chua, nước sốt; nó cũng được dùng để che lấp mùi khó chịu trong dầu gội, sữa tắm, kem dưỡng, chất khử mùi, nến thơm, tinh dầu khuếch tán, hỗn hợp làm sạch không chứa dung môi gốc dầu mỏ, nhờ tính dễ phân hủy sinh học, độc tính thấp, tương thích tốt với tiêu chuẩn IFRA và REACH, đáp ứng xu hướng “green fragrance” và hương liệu nguồn gốc tự nhiên.
