  • Ứng dụng

    ε-Cadinene (Epsilon-Cadinene, CAS 25548-04-3) là một sesquiterpen hydrocacbon có mùi gỗ ấm, nhựa và hơi cay, nên được ứng dụng chủ yếu làm nguyên liệu hương trong nước hoa, nến, xà phòng và sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân để bổ sung sắc thái woody, balsamic, khói, thuốc lá hoặc trầm hương và điều chỉnh các phối liệu chypre/amber; ở mức rất thấp nó cũng dùng làm chất tạo hương thực phẩm cho đồ uống, bánh kẹo hoặc sản phẩm mặn nhằm thêm nốt gỗ–gia vị tự nhiên; trong phân tích, ε-cadinene thường làm chuẩn tham chiếu để hiệu chuẩn chỉ số lưu giữ GC–MS, lập dấu vân tay tinh dầu, thẩm định tính xác thực và phát hiện pha trộn/giả mạo các nguyên liệu từ thực vật giàu cadinene (ví dụ một số loài Juniperus, Cupressus, patchouli…); trong nghiên cứu, hợp chất này được khảo sát về hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật, chống oxy hóa, chống viêm và vai trò xua/thu hút côn trùng, làm đầu mối cho thiết kế hương liệu sinh học, chất bảo vệ cây trồng thân thiện môi trường và vật liệu giải phóng mùi chậm (vi bao, gắn polymer), đồng thời dùng làm chất đánh dấu sinh học trong nghiên cứu chuyển hóa và sinh tổng hợp terpen ở thực vật.
