    Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DEGEE) hay Di(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether, CAS 111-90-0, là một dung môi hữu ích nhờ độ bay hơi vừa phải, khả năng hoà tan cao cho cả chất phân cực lẫn không phân cực, được ứng dụng rộng rãi trong sơn gốc nước nhằm kéo dài thời gian mở và cải thiện độ chảy của màng sơn, trong mực in và mực phun để ổn định độ nhớt và ngăn bít đầu phun, trong dung dịch làm sạch công nghiệp và gia dụng để tăng cường khả năng tẩy dầu mỡ mà vẫn giảm mùi hôi, trong chất tẩy rửa kim loại và chất tẩy rửa vi mạch điện tử để giảm sức căng bề mặt và giúp thấm ướt tốt, trong ngành dệt may như môi chất mang thuốc nhuộm thẩm thấu sâu sợi, trong chất trợ nghiền xi-măng và phụ gia bê tông để cải thiện độ linh động của hồ, trong mỹ phẩm và chăm sóc cá nhân đóng vai trò chất giữ ẩm, chất ổn định hương và dung môi nước hoa, đồng thời là chất trung gian tổng hợp dược phẩm, thuốc trừ sâu và nhựa epoxy, đáp ứng các tiêu chuẩn VOC thấp và thân thiện môi trường.
