    Delta-Elemene (CAS 11029-06-4) là một sesquiterpen thiên nhiên hiện diện trong tinh dầu Curcuma, được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong nghiên cứu và phát triển dược phẩm: làm khung phân tử để thiết kế dẫn xuất chống ung thư, là thành phần quan trọng của các chế phẩm elemene được khảo sát và tại một số nơi được dùng bổ trợ cho u đặc (như ung thư phổi, glioma) nhằm tăng nhạy cảm với hóa/xạ trị, ức chế tăng sinh và hỗ trợ vượt qua đa kháng thuốc; đồng thời được khai thác trong các hệ dẫn truyền nano/liposom có tiềm năng tiếp cận hàng rào máu–não, dùng làm chất chuẩn phân tích GC–MS cho tinh dầu họ Nghệ và làm hương liệu mùi gỗ–thảo mộc ở nồng độ vi lượng trong mỹ phẩm, bên cạnh các bằng chứng tiền lâm sàng về tác dụng chống viêm, chống oxy hóa và kháng vi sinh vật; lưu ý tình trạng quản lý và bằng chứng lâm sàng có thể khác nhau tùy quốc gia/chỉ định.
