    Citronellyl propionate (CAS 141-14-0) là một este hương có mùi hoa hồng–cam chanh ngọt, hơi trái cây và mềm, thường dùng trong nước hoa mỹ phẩm và hương thơm gia dụng để mang lại sắc thái citrus–floral sạch sẽ, nâng hương đầu và làm mượt các nốt citronella/rose; với độ bay hơi trung bình và độ bền mùi cao hơn dẫn xuất acetat, nó hoạt động như chất điều biến và cố định nhẹ cho xịt thơm, eau de toilette, kem dưỡng, dầu gội, sữa tắm, xà phòng, chất tẩy giặt, nước xả vải, chất tẩy rửa bề mặt, nến thơm, sản phẩm khử mùi và kiểm soát mùi khó chịu, phối hợp tốt với citronellol, geraniol, linalool, terpene cam chanh và aldehyde để xây dựng các accord hoa, citrus, muguet và green; thường dùng ở hàm lượng thấp–trung bình để tạo độ tươi, che phủ mùi nền kỹ thuật và làm tròn công thức trong các dòng “fresh/clean”, đồng thời hỗ trợ cải thiện cảm quan cho sản phẩm đuổi muỗi dựa trên citronella, và việc sử dụng cần tuân thủ Tiêu chuẩn IFRA cùng các yêu cầu ghi nhãn, an toàn áp dụng theo ngành và thị trường.
