    Chrysanthenol (CAS 55722-60-6) là một monoterpenoid dạng rượu cấu trúc bicyclic, được ứng dụng chủ yếu trong nghiên cứu và phát triển như chất trung gian tổng hợp và thành phần hương: dùng tạo ester/ether (profragrance) cho nước hoa, chăm sóc cá nhân và sản phẩm gia dụng; làm khối xây dựng lập thể (chiral building block) để tiếp cận các dẫn xuất terpen, cyclopropanecarboxylate và khung cấu trúc liên quan pyrethroid trong khám phá dược–nông dược; làm chất chuẩn/đối chiếu trong phân tích, theo dõi chuyển hóa và sinh tổng hợp terpen; đồng thời được khảo sát về các hoạt tính điển hình của monoterpen (mùi hương, xua côn trùng, kháng vi sinh vật) nhằm phát triển phụ gia, chất bán hóa học và hệ dẫn truyền hương, với lưu ý ổn định công thức (giảm bay hơi/oxy hóa bằng chất ổn định và dung môi phù hợp) và tuân thủ quy định an toàn hiện hành.
