  • Ứng dụng

    Calamenene (CAS 72937-55-4) là một sesquiterpen thơm có trong tinh dầu thực vật, được ứng dụng trong hương liệu - thực phẩm nhờ nốt mùi gỗ ấm, thảo mộc hơi the mát, dùng làm chất chuẩn đối chiếu trong phân tích GC-MS, định danh thành phần tinh dầu và nghiên cứu hóa học tự nhiên, đồng thời đóng vai trò khung phân tử để tổng hợp - tối ưu các dẫn xuất khảo sát hoạt tính sinh học; ở mức tiền lâm sàng, calamenene và các dẫn xuất cho thấy tiềm năng kháng khuẩn (đặc biệt với vi khuẩn Gram dương như Staphylococcus aureus), kháng nấm men, kháng ký sinh trùng (Leishmania, Trypanosoma), chống viêm và chống oxy hóa, cũng như tác dụng xua đuổi côn trùng, nên thường được đánh giá như thành phần hoạt tính trong chế phẩm tinh dầu phục vụ nông nghiệp và dược liệu, tuy nhiên hiện chưa phải là dược chất được phê duyệt và việc sử dụng cần tuân thủ các hướng dẫn an toàn - pháp lý liên quan.
