    Ứng dụng của Bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol, 1,7,7-trimethyl-, formate, (1R-endo)- (CAS 7492-41-3) chủ yếu nằm trong lĩnh vực hương liệu và hương vị, nơi nó được dùng làm thành phần mùi có sắc thái camphoraceous–gỗ thông–thảo mộc với độ bền mùi tốt để tạo độ tươi, độ khuếch tán và chiều sâu cho nước hoa, chất khử mùi, chăm sóc cá nhân, xịt phòng, chất tẩy rửa và care vải; ở liều vết, nó hỗ trợ các nốt bạc hà/thảo mộc trong gia vị thực phẩm, kẹo, kẹo cao su và đồ uống; trong tổng hợp hữu cơ, este formate này là tiền chất thuận tiện để thu nhận (1R)-borneol/camphor qua thủy phân/oxy hóa và được tận dụng như khối xây dựng chiral từ nguồn pinane cho các biến đổi định hướng lập thể; trong R&D, nó được dùng làm hợp chất tham chiếu cảm quan–sắc ký, mô hình nghiên cứu động học thủy phân este và hệ pro-fragrance/giải phóng có kiểm soát trong ma trận tiêu dùng, đồng thời stereochemistry (1R-endo) của nó thường được khai thác để tinh chỉnh hồ sơ mùi và tính chọn lọc phản ứng.
