  • Ứng dụng

    beta-Cedrene (CAS 546-28-1) là một sesquiterpen hydrocarbon có mùi gỗ tuyết tùng ấm, khô, hơi ngọt, được ứng dụng rộng rãi làm thành phần hương trong nước hoa, mỹ phẩm, xà phòng, chất tẩy rửa và các sản phẩm khử mùi/khử mùi không khí; nhờ độ bay hơi trung bình và độ lưu hương tốt, nó tạo chiều sâu gỗ, hiệu ứng cố định nhẹ và hòa quyện với vetiver, hoắc hương, gỗ đàn hương, amber và các loại nhựa; trong hương liệu thực phẩm, beta-cedrene có thể được dùng ở mức vi lượng để mang sắc thái gỗ/khói cho đồ uống, kẹo và sản phẩm nướng (tùy quy định địa phương); trong kiểm soát côn trùng gia dụng và bảo quản đồ gỗ/vải, mùi “cedary” góp phần xua đuổi mọt, bướm đêm và muỗi khi phối hợp với dầu gỗ tuyết tùng; trong R&D, hợp chất này là chất đánh dấu hóa học cho dầu gỗ tuyết tùng, chất tham chiếu cho nghiên cứu mùi học và nguyên liệu khởi đầu cho biến đổi/tổng hợp sesquiterpen (ví dụ oxy hóa thành cedrenone hoặc dẫn xuất alcohol), đồng thời được theo dõi như một VOC đặc trưng phát thải từ gỗ; về công thức, beta-cedrene kỵ nước, tan trong ethanol/DPG/dầu nền và tương thích với nhiều polymer, sáp (nến, giặt là, chăm sóc cá nhân), nhưng có thể oxy hóa theo thời gian nên thường bổ sung chất chống oxy hóa và bảo quản kín, tránh sáng/nhiệt, đồng thời tuân thủ IFRA và các hướng dẫn an toàn hóa chất hiện hành.
