  • Ứng dụng

    α-Methylbenzyl alcohol (CAS 98-85-1) là một alcohol thơm đa năng được ứng dụng rộng rãi như chất trung gian có độ chọn lọc quang học cao trong tổng hợp dược phẩm (penicillamine, kháng histamine, β-blocker), nguyên liệu tạo hương với mùi hoa hồng dịu, dung môi chọn lọc cho phản ứng Grignard và quá trình polymer hóa, chất mang hoạt tính quang học trong phân giải hỗn hợp racemic, tiền chất để điều chế styrene oxide, α-methylbenzylamine, phenacyl chloride và các dẫn xuất hydroxyacetophenone; ngoài ra còn dùng làm chất ổn định nhựa alkyd, phụ gia tăng độ bám dính cho sơn và mực in, chất điều biến độ nhớt cho dầu nhờn, cùng chất trung gian sản xuất thuốc bảo vệ thực vật, chất gia cường cao su và các chất hoạt động bề mặt chuyên dụng.
