    5-Hydroxy-3,7,3',4'-tetramethoxyflavone (CAS 1245-15-4) được sử dụng chủ yếu như một trung gian tổng hợp và khối xây dựng nghiên cứu trong hoá flavonoid; trong công nghiệp, nó thường được đánh giá cho các ứng dụng mỹ phẩm/chăm sóc cá nhân như chất chống oxy hóa và chất ổn định công thức; là tiền chất trong nghiên cứu dược phẩm, nó đóng vai trò là xương sống cho các nghiên cứu SAR và để tổng hợp các dẫn xuất flavone; trong lớp phủ, mực in và công thức polymer, nó có thể hoạt động như một chất chống oxy hóa và ổn định dưới ánh sáng để tăng khả năng chống lão hóa do oxy hóa và UV; và được sử dụng làm vật liệu khởi đầu cho tổng hợp các dẫn xuất flavonoid phức tạp trong sản xuất công nghiệp.
