    (3S,4S)-4-Ethenyl-4-methyl-3-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohexene (CAS 6902-73-4) là một monoterpen hydrocarbon có hồ sơ mùi terpenic–citrus–thảo mộc, được ứng dụng và nghiên cứu làm thành phần hương trong nước hoa, sản phẩm chăm sóc cá nhân, chất khử mùi và chất tẩy rửa có mùi dễ chịu; làm chất tạo hương cho thực phẩm–đồ uống khi đáp ứng yêu cầu pháp lý; làm dung môi sinh học và chất tẩy dầu “xanh” cho nhựa, sơn, mực in và bề mặt kim loại; làm nguyên liệu hóa học từ sinh khối để epoxi hóa hoặc oxy hóa–hydro hóa cho ra ancol, xeton và các dẫn xuất dùng trong tổng hợp hương–liệu, dược–nông hóa; là tiền chất tạo nhựa terpene, tackifier và copolymer dùng trong keo dán, cao su, mực; là thành phần hoặc chất đồng vận chuyển hương trong hệ vi nang để kiểm soát phát tán; được khai thác trong công thức xua đuổi hoặc dẫn dụ côn trùng và trong xử lý sau thu hoạch; đồng thời là khối xây dựng lập thể và chất chuẩn tham chiếu trong phân tích, kiểm nghiệm và nghiên cứu vật liệu sinh học nguồn gốc tái tạo.
