    3-Hexenyl propionate, (3Z)- (CAS 33467-74-2) là este có mùi xanh lá–trái cây (cỏ mới cắt, táo, lê) được ứng dụng rộng rãi như chất tạo hương và mùi: trong hương thực phẩm để mang lại cảm giác tươi, mọng và tự nhiên cho đồ uống, nước giải khát, nước trái cây, kẹo, bánh nướng, sản phẩm sữa/kem và kẹo cao su, cũng như xây dựng các profile trái cây (táo, lê, dâu, dưa, nhiệt đới) và nốt rau xanh (dưa leo, lá cà chua), thường ở mức rất thấp để nâng top note, cân bằng vị ngọt, che lấp off-note; trong nước hoa, chăm sóc cá nhân, chất tẩy rửa, làm thơm không khí và chăm sóc vải để tạo hiệu ứng leafy/green tự nhiên, kết nối nốt xanh và trái cây trong các accord muguet, trà, fig, táo–lê, hoạt động như nốt top–middle; trong phòng thí nghiệm và R&D hương–mùi, hợp chất này được dùng làm chuẩn tham chiếu/chuẩn phân tích cho GC–MS, huấn luyện cảm quan và nghiên cứu các “green leaf volatiles” của thực vật; khi ứng dụng thực tế, thường hòa tan trong ethanol/propylene glycol, định liều ở mức ppm và phối hợp với cis‑3‑hexenol, hexyl acetate để tăng tính tự nhiên, đồng thời tuân thủ quy định an toàn và giới hạn sử dụng hiện hành.
